Model RTM-01 – Generator Rotor Temperature Monitor

The EUMAC, Inc. model RTM-01 rotor temperature calculates the average rotor temperature by monitoring generator field current and voltage. The RTM-01 is designed for permanent power plant installation for interface to a plant computer or distributed control system (DCS). At very low field current, the RTM-01 disables itself so that no poor quality temperature information is sent to the plant computer.

Inputs Required:

Generator Field Voltage, Vfd, and field current, Id, from near the collector rings and field current shunt respectively.

Outputs:

0 to 10 vdc representative of 0 to 150 degrees Centigrade. Second output is a 4 to 20 milliampere current loop representative of 0 to 150 degrees Centigrade.

Power Required:

120 vac, 60Hz, 0.15 amps, main unit, 120 vac, 60Hz, .01amps each transducer

Size & Weight:

3” high by 10” wide by 8” deep, 3 lbs. External field voltage and current transducers are approx 4” by 4” by 2” HWD
