ISO-01 Isolation AmplifierThe EUMAC model ISO-01 single channel battery powered isolation amplifier allows for safe and efficient monitoring of voltages not referenced to ground with 1500 vrms isolation input to output and the added advantage of ground loop elimination and common mode noise rejection. The ISO-01 provides safe and efficient monitoring, measurement and recording of voltages that are not referenced to ground or common. The ISO-01 accepts voltages as low as 50 millivolts zero to peak and as high as 1000 volts zero to peak. ISO-01 output is scaled to +- 10 volts output for each switch selectable range of .05 volts to 1000 volts. The isolation amplifier's bandwidth is 91KHz and battery life is well over 24 hours on a single pair of 9-volt alkaline batteries. The ISO-01 may be powered from an optional ac supply. Typical applications include isolation and scaling of output voltage from SCR rectifier circuits. The same isolation and scaling can be done for the voltage proportional to current from current shunts. Both of these quantities are typically not referenced to ground or electronic common. Figure 1 illustrates an SCR bridge circuit powering the field winding of a turbine-generator. If one attempts to make this measurement on a four-channel oscilloscope without appropriate isolation, a serious safety hazard arises for both equipment and personnel. The circuit being measured is inadvertently grounded through the oscilloscope. Key Benefits:
