PAM-01 Self-Calibrating Power Angle Meter

The PAM-01 utilizes electronics to accurately measure the generator power angle, delta.  Power angle is the angle between the generator’s internal voltage and its terminal voltage.  The maximum theoretical value of power angle allowable for stable operation is 90 degrees.  If the generator’s power angle exceeds this value, the generator will become unstable, slip a pole and no longer provide power to the transmission system.  The PAM-01 continually monitors and displays power angle and automatically calibrates itself every time the generator is synchronized to the power system.  PAM-01 output is available for control and generator frequency and modeling calculations as well.  Click here for PAM-01 technical specifications.
